The October 2013 frosts were especially savage in ultra-cool Tumbarumba. The Chardonnay grapes from Steve Morrison’s ‘Revee Estate’ vineyard came from the secondary shoots which sprang to life after the primary buds were burnt off. That meant ripening was in full swing a month later than usual. A lean and lovely wine is the result.
Tasting Note: Restrained aromas, classically styled. Tight and bright through the palate with a taut, mineral acid backbone. Apple-like with melon, pear, grapefruit and spice notes. Dry and textural through the finish.
